After gaining invaluable experience in New York, Ehrmantraut began to build her own client base after the birth of her son. In 2007, she was responsible for the launch of Rizco Design’s Beleaf initiative – a three-tiered, sustainability program and measurable plan of action. The environmental mission was so successful that it catapulted the start of a new business – Beleaf the organic clothing division of Rizco Design. Ehrmantraut was a strategic partner with firm and helped to generate media buzz for the new line. Beleaf not only received local recognition (Asbury Park Press), but national industry coverage (Biz Bash) as well. Additionally, the program earned both a Gold and Best of Show Award at the 2008 Jersey Shore Public Relations & Advertising Association (JSPRAA) JASPER Awards Dinner. Previously, Ehrmantraut was an Account Director in the New York Consumer practice of Weber Shandwick Worldwide, managing the Unilever business, including Suave, ThermaSilk and Pond’s. She was responsible for managing the launch of the new face care line from Pond’s, which generated national media coverage in key magazines including More, Elle, In Touch, Ladies’ Home Journal, among others. Additionally, her account management skills and creativity were applied to the MY M&M’S Sweetest Wedding event, which was held at the world-famous Rainbow Room.Prior to joining Weber Shandwick in 2003, Ehrmantraut was an Account Manager at Magnet Communications. She was responsible for the successful launch of the first beauty and fragrance line from American Eagle Outfitters. She managed a number of lifestyle accounts, from Johnson & Johnson Reach Access and Clean Burst Floss to CondéNet’s PHYS.com and Swoon.com. For over four years, she was responsible for account leadership and counsel for the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) – the world’s largest association of facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons. Through her strong media relations, the AAFPRS received a wide-range of national coverage from The Early Show and Entertainment Tonight to The New York Times, Vogue, Elle, Glamour, among others. Her work for the organization not only put Academy presidents at the forefront of the media and raised awareness of the facial plastic surgery specialty, but earned her a Sabre Award Honorable Mention for Best Television Placement. At Lippe Taylor Public Relations, Ehrmantraut worked on various beauty brands, including Sears Circle of Beauty, Jergen’s and Curél. Ehrmantraut began her career at Edelman, assisting the Bacardi Limón and Eddie Bauer teams. And, now today, Ehrmantraut is continually staying abreast of the public relations industry. Currently, she is the JSPRAA newsletter editor and was the 2008/2009 Recording Secretary. She is an expert in creative press release writing and strategic planning and consulting, and still maintains many New York City contacts that could be beneficial to a PR campaign. Ehrmantraut earned a B.A. in English and journalism from Montclair State University in Upper Montclair, N.J. She currently resides in Brick, N.J. with her husband, two sons and French bulldog and is readily available for freelance projects. |
